Rodrigo Alves was born to A Brazilian mother and an British father on the 30th of July 1983 in Sao Paulo. Roserval Alves (her father) originates from Portugal and came to Brazil in the year 1944. The family initially engaged in agriculture however they expanded their involvement in business to include malls, and real estate. Her grandfather purchased Barbie dolls for her as just a child. Even though Alves was born male, at birth, but from "the aged of and four, five, six" she believed she was have a female gender, and she was a doll and interdressed. [6][7] She feels people are not defined solely according to gender. Alves was shy and bullied in her childhood. At the age of nineteen, Alves had a hormone dysfunction, with excess estrogen that caused the breasts to expand; Her other physical characteristics were picked on by the bullies. Alves was born to a family that owns several supermarkets in Brazil. They've been wealthy for many years, however they still don't generate any revenue from the retail stores. Alves came to London at the age of 18, and studied public relations at the London College of Communication. The money she has comes via an inheritance left by her maternal grandparents.
