Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in the year 1980. Her parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Her family was born in Huntington Woods Michigan. She has Polish (mother's) and German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment as a young age. She was able to land her first acting role in her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency before her 13th birthday. She later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper ads. In addition to learning in private classes in acting, she launched her career around that time. Bell was a character who did not have a credit on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a part of the drama and musical clubs of Shrine Catholic High School. She won the starring role as Dorothy at her school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was accepted to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater upon graduating. Bell quit university in 2001 and began playing the character of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. Her first film credit in Pootie Tang in 2001. The scene however it was cut and Bell's only role is the final credits. Bell made her debut in 2002. Bell was on her first Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson and Angela Bettis.
